Massillon Museum presents much more than art and history lessons. MassMu engages visitors in experiences.
In six galleries, exhibitions spanning an array of interests change regularly; the new Paul Brown Museum within MassMu highlights hometown hero, Coach Brown, and his football legacy. New spaces offer artist opportunities and rental venues. The Immel Circus, a 2,620-piece hand-carved miniature circus, surrounded by real circus costumes, posters, and photographs, is a visitor favorite.
A sensory room, where guests of all ages can relax and center themselves, also provides privacy for breastfeeding mothers. Two family restrooms and diaper changing tables in both the men's and women's restrooms add to MassMu's family-friendly atmosphere.
In the Museum shop, OHregionalities, visitors find regionally handcrafted pottery, jewelry, and cards, local history and football books, and children's gifts. The lobby cafe, Anderson's in the City, offers specialty coffees, sweets, and light lunch.

Raw Material is a solo exhibition by Katie Davis that explores themes of feminism and domesticity. Davis is a mixed media painter and installation artist. Her color choices and visual language have a direct relationship with her materials, which are sourced from retro interior design trends and textiles. The artwork uses formalism and abstraction, held in tension with whimsy and playfulness. Her rich surfaces combine layers of paint, lace, buttons, old curtains, or clothing!
