The Crown Center Ice Terrace will open on November 7, 2025, for its 53rd season of outdoor skating fun. Be sure to join us between 6am and 9am for our annual Opening Day Free Skate, November 7.
The Crown Center Shops will be open November 28 – December 24 with the following holiday hours:
Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Christmas Eve, December 24, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
And, from December 26 – 31 with the following holiday hours:
Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm, Sunday, 12 pm – 6 pm
New Year’s Eve, December 31, 10 am – 5 pm
Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
Mayor’s Christmas Tree Ornaments Through the Years

A decorated display features all 45 of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree ornaments that Hallmark has produced, and Crown Center has sold since 1981 to raise money for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund which helps fellow Kansas Citians in need celebrate the holiday season. The Coterie, Crown Center Shops, Level 1. The beloved holiday classic comes to life on stage! Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.
