Join Mark G. Holland, Archivist, as he uncovers the surprising history of why early Canton—and even Ohio—ignored Christmas while celebrating New Year's and the 4th of July instead. Learn how stores remained open, law courts were in session issuing writs and orders, and sheriff’s sales proceeded.

The “Grandma & Grandpa’s Attic” exhibition features artifacts from the Museum’s permanent collection from the 1890s through the 1980s! “Grandma & Grandpa’s Attic” includes objects such as a Kodak “Brownie” camera from the 1910s, an original Monopoly board game from 1936, a Wurlitzer Jukebox from the 1930s, a wedding dress made from a World War II silk parachute, and a Cabbage Patch Kid from the 1980s! This is an exhibit sure to entertain and teach any generation!
