Come see this 167-year-old monument to progress and engineering. The W&A Tunnel at Tunnel Hill is a fantastic adventure for kids, friends, and family. The Tunnel Hill Heritage Center and Museum also feature 1850s home of Clisby Austin, who abruptly abandoned the house shortly after the opening of the Civil War. The home operated as a Confederate hospital throughout much of the war and after fleeing Confederates abandoned the position, it was occupied briefly by General William T. Sherman.
